Deep indigo cotton, and across it, flowers that were placed by hand. Not printed. Petals in rose-pink and darker blue are cut from separate cloth, laid onto the fabric, then outlined in thread — appliqué work, with fine embroidery filling the leaves and gold accents catching the light at the centres.

The V-neckline carries a dense band of floral thread work in pink, cream and gold. The same border runs along the sleeve cuffs. Larger blooms climb the kurta hem and reappear on the dupatta.

Three pieces, all in the same cotton: kurta, straight pant with an elastic waist, and a soft dupatta. Nothing to fuss with in the morning — you put it on and it's already a complete outfit.

There's a pocket on the side. Deep, real, useful.

How to style it

It arrives complete, which is the point. Oxidised silver jhumkas and juttis for a function. Swap to studs and flats and it goes to work. Drape the dupatta over one shoulder for daytime, both shoulders when you want more coverage — and skip it entirely and the kurta and pant still read as a finished co-ord.

Fabric care

 Wash at home, hand wash separately in cold water, never wring, and dry flat in shade. Iron on the reverse, avoiding the embroidered areas directly. No bleach.

Made in small batches

Hand embroidery takes time, so Gulmegh is produced in very limited quantity. Slight variation in motif placement between pieces is a mark of hand work.

B) Minor irregularities in embroidery, print, or stitching are inherent to handmade products and enhance their uniqueness.

c) Shrinkage up to 5% may occur; proper wash care can limit shrinkage to 2%.
